CHINGFORD MOUNT TOWN CENTRE

1A - Chingford Mount Public Spaces

Significant improvements to Chingford Mount’s key public space and high street, including new surfacing, landscaping, planting, navigation and public art, while retaining bus and vehicular access to Albert Crescent. The investment will create safe, inclusive, welcoming, attractive connections and space.

1B - Seating for all ages 

Intergenerational seating co-designed with local schools for the heart of the town centre which will enable the space to be used by everyone, bringing all ages together.

HIGHAMS PARK TOWN CENTRE 

2A - Community Space - Eco Pods

Retail units to support startups and small businesses, boosting the number of visitors and time people spend in the town centre supporting local businesses and increasing civic pride.

2B - Highams Park public spaces 

Investment in the heart of the town centre creating an enhanced gateway to Highams Park station and creating a safe, attractive, welcoming and inclusive space for all the community while retaining drop-off facilities.

2C - Signal Walk Play Area (outside Tesco)

New surfacing and play equipment to create an enhanced town centre playspace.

2D - Aldriche Way link to Highams Park town centre

Enabling walking and cycling connections between Signal Walk and Aldriche Estate.

3A - Memorial Park

• Refurbishing a disused pavilion and toilet block to become a café/community space.

• Resurfaced tennis courts, new posts, nets and seating.

• Play Area improvements

3B - Chase Lane

• Skate park improvement

• Scooter Play

• Multi Use Games Area

• Outdoor Gym

3C - Rolls Park

• Resurfaced tennis courts

• Bubble to cover courts for indoor use

• Additional LED floodlights

3D - Chingford Rugby

• New fencing

• Car park resurfacing
